Distribution of state economic stimulus funds: Who gets what?
Governor David Paterson released a report outlining the distribution of the state’s economic stimulus funds Monday.
The Greater Rochester region, which includes Monroe County and the seven surrounding counties, is expected to receive more than $779 million.
Monroe County will receive $541 million of that money. Ontario County will receive $55 million, Wayne County will receive $52 million, and Livingston County is slated to receive $32 million.
The money will be used by local governments, schools, as well as for highway projects.
