The line to get in started to build around 2:30 p.m. The clinic opened at 3:30 p.m. "It was long, but it moved pretty quickly," said Mary Lichti of Victor. Her three sons are now swine flu safe. They all got the nasal spray. "I liked how it smelled like lemon," said third grader Carter Lichti. His older brother Jacob Lichti said the nasal mist was "weird," but the whole family was thankful to get vaccinated. "We were at the very end of the line, but we still got it," said Carter's twin brother Henry Lichti. "So every single person got it!" Ontario County Public Health Director Mary Beer says 1,203 people were vaccinated at Tuesday's clinic. Beer expected the long lines. She told us calls have been coming in constantly. Because of the shortage of vaccine, the shots were only offered to Ontario County residents. You even had to show your ID to get inside. "The reality is we get the injections and the mists for our residents," said Beer. "So if I were to give it away to other counties then that takes away from my own residents." The Reston family of Canandaigua came out to get inoculated. "We've been calling our doctor's office, and it's not been available," said mother Meg Reston. "It is a concern of mine. My kids have asthma. All of them do." Reston doesn't have to worry anymore. Two-thousand doses were on hand in Canandaigua Tuesday night. By the end of the night, everyone who wanted a vaccination got one. "I thought we might not get the vaccine," said Mary Lichti. "I thought they might run out, but they had enough so that was good." Ontario County Public Health Director Mary Beer says the county will host more of H1N1 clinics as the vaccinations come in. Click here for upcoming flu shot clinics in Ontario County.
