Roderick Scott is charged with manslaughter in the death of 17-year old Christopher Cervini. Police say Cervini was breaking into cars before he was shot. Roderick says the shooting was done in self defense. The pretrial hearing wrapped up this morning for the high profile case and defense attorney John Parrinello says he has some major concerns before this trial begins. Parrinello says he does not want cameras in the court and that was the decision the judge made - no cameras will be allowed in the courtroom during this trial. The second thing Parrinello brought up was the graphic pictures of the victim from the night of the incident and his third concern was the videotaped statements Roderick Scott made to police that night. All these concerns will be a part of the trial and both attorneys say they're ready. Prosecutor Julie Finocchio said, “You always want to make sure you have a fair jury and there has been a lot of publicity. Of course it is a concern because they need to be fail and impartial.” Roderick Scott said, “I feel that I have a lot of faith in my lawyer and the facts. I think when they do come out, I think we'll be okay.” Jury selection for this trial will begin on Monday and the trial is expected to last two weeks.
