Cuomo: Minimum wage increase impossible

Governor Andrew Cuomo says raising the minimum wage is a political impossibility.
The governor says he supports an increase but it's just not in the realm of possibility to get the measure passed in the republican-led senate this legislative session.
Supporters of a minimum wage increase say the governor can force a change through a labor law provision but the governor's office says that provision can't be used to raise wages for most workers.
The minimum wage in New York State is $7.25 an hour. The democrat-led Assembly wants it increased to $8.50.
