Man accused of running over, killing child appears in court

The man accused of running over and killing a 7-year-old boy in Rochester last year was in court Friday fort a hearing about evidence collected at the scene.
James Bradley is charged with manslaughter, assault and driving under the influence of drugs. Police say he was high on marijuana when he ran over 7-year-old Sahmir Williams outside School 33 last year.
At issue Friday was whether Bradley gave consent for police to draw his blood and test it after the crash.
Bradley says he was disoriented, unable to give consent, and the test results should be thrown out. The nurse who drew his blood that day testified that Bradley was alert and knew what he was agreeing to.
Sahmir Williams's mother was in court Friday, and said Bradley has not shown remorse.
"That bothers me the most. Because remorse is not a delayed reaction. And not everybody is like me, but you know, immediately after Sahmir was killed and pronounced, my first question was how's the driver? How's the other little girl? And I just lost my son. And I couldn't imagine me having a seizure killing a seven-year-old and injuring another one. I would be mortified," Sahmir's mother Layla Frasier told News10NBC.
The judge will decide whether the blood test results are admissible in court.
Bradley's next hearing is set for July.
