Driver charged with DWI after car hits tree, flips

A Rochester man is being charged with DWI after an early morning crash in Brighton.

Police say the crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. Monday on Avalon Drive off South Winton Road. Officers say a man in his late 30's drove across the opposite lane of traffic and hit a sidewalk and a tree and flipped over, landing in a front yard.

The driver was taken to Strong Hospital with minor injuries. Police have not released his name.
