Dog shot and killed by deputies in Perinton

Monroe County Sheriff's Officials say deputies shot and killed an aggressive dog in Perinton Friday night.

Police say they were called to the home on Whitney Road for the report of a house party. As they were approaching the house, deputies say a loose pit bull approached them. Deputies say the dog was aggressive and they shot the dog as it came at them.

Officials say the deputies were justified in shooting the dog.
