Learning center, apartments, steak house coming to Penfield?

A math learning center, a steak house and a luxury apartment complex -- all three could be coming to Penfield.

The Town Board will hold hearings on the three projects Wednesday night.

The luxury apartment complex called South Pointe Apartments would be located near Bazil restaurant on Empire Boulevard. The complex would include 10 buildings, a clubhouse and pool.

The Daniele family, who owns the restaurant, has been trying to develop that land but hit a roadblock a couple years ago because of an eagle nest.

The learning center would be located at 1802 Penfield Road -- the former site of the art workshop, Mud About You, which closed last December.

The proposed location of the steak house would be at the Four Corners in Penfield at the former Le Bon Vie restaurant which closed earlier this year.
