Rochester to get 24 electric car charging stations

nullRochester is getting 24 electric car charging stations. It is part of a plan to put in more than 300 charging stations across the state.

They aren't specific locations, but the city says the 24 stations will be at 7 visible and busy locations including city parking garages, city hall, the Port of Rochester and the Rochester Public Market.

NYSERDA is fronting the $222,000 for the project. Governor Cuomo says this statewide effort will create jobs and help the environment.
