There was a good turnout Friday night at YMCA fundraiser in memory of a member of the News10NBC family.
Scott Dale was an operations technician at News10NBC who lost his battle with cancer in December, on his 47th birthday.
Friday's 5K in Hilton raised money for a program called "Live Strong at the YMCA." It's a 12-week program that's free to cancer survivors to help them gain strength and improve their quality of life.
Scott was a "Readyfit" coach at the Westside Y, and they put on Friday's race in his memory.
"Scott was a Readyfit coach with us at Westside. We just loved him to pieces. He fought just really, really hard. And that's why we're here, in memory of him," said Jule Nowicki, one of Scott's fellow coaches.
Scott is survived by his wife Larissa, his daughters Kelsey and Megan, and his stepson Cole.
