Sodus teen charged with assaulting a state trooper

nullA teen was arrested and charged with assaulting a state trooper.

State police say a trooper was dispatched to a home in Sodus on Sunday night for a suicidal 14-year-old. When the trooper determined that the teen should be transported for a mental evaluation, police say the teen took out a knife and hit the trooper in the chest. The trooper was not injured do to the knife striking him in his ballistic vest. 

The 14 year old was processed and sent to Strong Memorial Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
