Now's the time to buy new

If you're ready to buy a new car, now might be just the right time. New vehicle prices have dropped $500 in the past year.
 
The Kelley Blue Book auto pricing service says models from Japanese makers such as the Toyota Prius and Honda Accord have seen the biggest declines.
 
It's all due to inventories finally returning back to normal this summer following last year's earthquake and tsunami in Japan which left dealers with fewer cars to sell last summer.
