Savannah Guthrie named co-anchor of The Today Show

Savannah Guthrie has been named co-anchor of The Today Show.

The announcement from NBC comes the day after Ann Curry announced her departure.

The new "Today" anchor team of Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales officially debuts July 9.

Guthrie will continue her role as NBC News Chief Legal Correspondent.
