nullPolice in Rochester are investigating two shootings that happened just hours apart Monday night.

Officers say a 36-year-old man was shot around 8 p.m. on Joseph Avenue after he and the suspect met up and both men got out of their cars. The suspect then shot the victim and ran away. The victim drove himself to Rochester General Hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Investigators do not have a suspect in custody.

About three hours later, police say a 22-year-old man was shot once in front of the Sanaa Food Market on Clifford Avenue near Miller Street. Officers tell News10NBC he was approached by two suspects who demanded his money, snatched a gold chain and shot him once in the upper body. The victim got into his car and drove down Clifford Avenue to Jerold Street, about eight blocks away, before stopping to get help from a friend. He was then taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital. The victim is currently in stable condition and is expected to survive. Police are still looking for a suspect in that case as well.

Anyone with information in either shooting is asked to call 911.
