New apps to make the most of the 4th of July

Whether you're looking for the tastiest hot dog, heading to beach or trying to find the best place to watch the fireworks, there are some new apps out there to help you make the most out of your 4th of July.

The Beach Finder app by Rounders Consulting for the iPhone will find you the closest beaches wherever you are. It costs $0.99 and you get access to photos, reviews and turn-by-turn directions.  

The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council offers tons of hot dog recipes to spice up you holiday cookout.  

Fireworks on the 4th of July are a must. If it's only the best you want and distance isn't an issue, AOL Travel has put together a list of the nation's top fifteen fireworks events based on attendance, cost, number of fireworks and length of the show.
