A Canandaigua man is facing charges after police say he hit another person with a watermelon.

Kroum Markov, 44, is charged with criminal contempt, criminal mischief and harassment.

Police say they were called to a home on Gibson Street for the report of a disturbance. Investigators say Markov punched a window in the home and then hit the resident with a watermelon.

Markov was arraigned and remanded to the Ontario County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
