Tax breaks approved for new Hilton hotel in Rochester

Rochester is about to get a new hotel. Tax breaks were approved by the county to build a new Hilton Garden Inn on East Main Street in Rochester.
Three vacant buildings will be renovated into a 115,000 square foot Hilton Garden Inn. There will be 106 rooms. The cost of the project is $16 million.
Tax breaks were approved for a lease and sales tax exemption.
