nullA Rochester man is facing charges after police say he hit a pedestrian and nearly ran over an officer.

Canandaigua Police say officers were investigating an unrelated domestic dispute early Sunday morning when 26-year-old Jordan Randolph struck the pedestrian on Fort Hill Avenue and almost struck the officer. According to police, Randolph was intoxicated and when they tried to arrest him, he physically resisted and tried to flee the scene.

One of the officers did sustain injuries during the arrest. He was treated at F.F. Thompson Hospital and was released.

Randolph faces multiple charges, including DWI, resisting arrest and harassment. He was taken to the Ontario County Jail, where he was bailed out on Monday.
