The former Irondequoit Police officer who was released from prison last month was stopped for speeding.
The New York State Division of Parole says Chad Rahn was stopped for speeding on Monday in Wayne County. They say Rahn was only given a warning by the sheriff’s deputy.
According to parole, Rahn went to Wayne County to look at a car, but his parole condition states he can’t leave Monroe County without permission. According to parole, Rahn says didn't know he needed permission to leave the county but did acknowledge that he should have called his parole officer to let him know. Rahn's parole officer gave him a warning but didn't violate him for this incident.
Rahn was granted parole in April. He was sent away because he provided information about a confidential informant to a drug suspect who then assaulted the tipster.
