Sunday marked the final day of the 43rd Annual Puerto Rican Festival at Frontier Field. While the police are making their rounds making sure everything is under control, people from all across the Rochester area have come out to enjoy the food and music.
The heat didn't stop hundreds of people from enjoying the festival. Thousands of people throughout the region have made their way to Frontier Field during the weekend long celebration. Organizers believe a record number of people have come to the festivities.
A lot of families took advantage of this festival to make it a family fun day. The festival also had an amazing line-up of entertainers. There were games, and activities for the kids and tons of food from several different Latin countries. But most importantly, there was so much culture and that's what organizers say this festival is really all about.
"A lot of people from other races come out and support because they know it's a family oriented event," says Orlando Ortiz. "They have a great time and they want to introduce their children to our culture as well."
