Rochester Police officer injured during chase

Rochester Police tell News10NBC an officer was hurt chasing a man who tried running away from a crash scene.

Police say the 21 year old drove into a parked car around 1:30 a.m. Monday on North Street.

News10NBC is told he tried jumping a fence and police say the officer hurt his hand following the suspect.

Police are checking to see if alcohol played a role in the crash.
