Man run over by own van in guarded condition

An Albion man is in guarded condition after police say he was run over by his own car.
According to Orleans County Sheriff, Douglas Bower was getting out of his van to go shopping at the Wal-Mart in Albion Sunday night, when he fell on the ground and the van rolled over him.
Sheriff's deputies say the 55-year-old didn't realize the gear shift was in neutral.
Bower was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital.
