American Airlines upgrade discount

Starting today, travelers who fly American Airlines can get a discount when they buy an upgraded seat.

American is offering 25-percent off through August 5 when you purchase a preferred seat either through their website or through Priceline.
 
Preferred seats have standard leg room but are closer to the front of the economy cabin.  
 
With the discount, the preferred seats are available for as low as an additional $3 per flight.
