Police have ruled out alcohol and cell phone use as the cause of a fatal crash that happened in Avon on Saturday.
That crash killed 77-year-old Corradina Derosa of Rochester.
Police say Derosa was hit by a vehicle while crossing Route 15 to get to her car around 3:30 p.m. Derosa had been attending a wedding reception in the area prior to the crash.
Derosa was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where she died from her injuries.
Livingston County Sheriff's Deputies say at this point in their investigation, the crash seems to be nothing more than a tragic accident. They say they have ruled out the possibility that the driver had been intoxicated or using her cell phone before the crash.
