Remains of missing hiker from Irondequoit found in California

A sad update on the story of a missing hiker from Irondequoit. His wife confirmed to News10NBC his remains were found in California.

Shane Badger was hiking in the Joshua Tree National State Park near Palm Springs. His family hadn't heard from him in more than a week.

News10NBC sat down with his family Sunday night as they were holding out hope that he would be found alive. That was not the case.

He leaves behind an 11-month-old son and 16-year-old daughter.

His family says they believe Badger may have been suffering from depression before his disappearance.
