Rochester -- a safe weather city

There is a lot of snow in Rochester along with plenty of cold, cloudy weather but a new survey says Rochester is one of the safest cities when it comes to weather.

A report from The Weather Channel ranked the risk of certain disasters on a scale of zero to five with five being high risk.

The only weather event to get a five in Rochester was snow. Lightning received a three and disasters like tornados and hurricanes got a one.

Caribou, Maine was the only other city in the northeast to be named a safe weather city.
