Three people rescued from cave along Genesee River

Three people had to be rescued after they became trapped inside a cave along the Genesee River near Seth Green Drive in the city of Rochester.

News10NBC has learned that three people were hiking along the Genesee River on Tuesday afternoon when it started raining. They went into a cave to seek shelter from the rain. Police say the water started coming in and they became trapped inside. They did have cell phones on them and were able to call 911.

All three people were rescued just before 6:30p.m.
