A Sodus teen and three juveniles are facing charges after Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies say they broke into Sodus Middle School and stole several items.
Sixteen-year-old Cody Cook and three unidentified juveniles ranging in age from 10 to 12 are charged with burglary and petit larceny.
Deputies say an on-duty sergeant saw something suspicious around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday and when he approached the scene, one of the suspects took off on a bicycle. According to investigators, the three juveniles were taken into custody at the scene and Cook was apprehended hours later.
Investigators say the investigation into the Sodus Middle School burglary has provided new information regarding two other burglaries that State Police is currently investigating.
Cook was arraigned and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
