After being delayed a day, the Republican National Convention is in full swing in Tampa, Florida. On Tuesday, Mitt Romney and his wife, Ann, landed in Tampa. Ann is expected to take the primetime stage Tuesday.
Things are in full swing. News10NBC caught Ann Romney on the main stage she was getting a feel for the layout of the stage and did some sound checks. Ann is expected to take the stage in the 10:00pm hour.
News10NBC also heard from congressional candidates from all across the nation all making their pitch for the Romney/Ryan ticket. Here’s one of those speeches that got the crowd of GOP leaders fired up.
Rep. Tim Scott, Republican, South Carolina, said, "And let me close by giving President Obama a heartfelt message from the good people of South Carolina. Hit the road Jack and don't come back no more, no more, no more, no more! Thank you!"
More prominent names in the GOP will headline the primetime speeches. New Jersey governor Chris Christie will take the stage Tuesday as well. He was pressured by many in the party to run for president. He consistently said now is not he is time.
