nullAn armed man who reportedly had been making threats is in custody after leading police on a chase between two central New York colleges.

WKTV-TV in Utica reports that the man was captured early Friday morning near student dormitories on the campus of Cazenovia College, near Syracuse.

The station reports that late Thursday night the man had been at the Morrisville State College campus 10 miles east of Cazenovia. Both campuses went into lockdown as police searched for the man. The lockdowns were lifted at 3 a.m.

An alert posted on Morrisville's website said the person was "heavily armed" and had made "numerous threats."

A Morrisville campus security officer said he couldn't comment. A message left at Cazenovia College wasn't immediately returned.

State police referred questions to state university police.
