Soldier from Oswego dies in Afghanistan

A 23-year-old man from Oswego has died in Afghanistan.
    
The Department of Defense said soldier Kyle Rookey died Sunday in Jalalabad. DOD said Rookey's death was in a non-combat related incident but gave no further details.
    
Rookey had been assigned to the Fourth Brigade Special Troops Battalion, Fourth Brigade Combat Team, Fourth Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Colorado.
