A 51-year-old Rochester man has been arrested after an investigation into the kidnapping and robbery of a church secretary in Irondequoit.

Police say Anthony Cannella went into a church on East Ridge Road, forced the secretary to get into her car and drive him to her bank. Then, police say he used her debit card to withdraw money.

Police say Cannella had the victim drive him to Lyell Avenue, where he jumped out and ran away. The victim was not injured.

Cannella is charged with robbery, kidnapping and grand larceny.

A hearing is scheduled for September 5 at 6 p.m. at Irondequoit Town Court.
