State Police investigating a home invasion in Palmyra

State Police are investigating a home invasion that happened early Tuesday morning in Palmyra. 

Police say the suspect entered a home on Port Gibson Road around 8:30am and was confronted by the homeowner. During the confrontation, police say the 56-year-old man received a cut to his head. 

The suspect then left the house. Police say the suspect, who is a man, was last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt. They say he has short hair and a gap in his front teeth.
