Former Beatle spotted in East Syracuse

nullThere are a lot of big names who come through Western and Central New York, including actors, pop stars and country crooners. But it's not every day a former Beatle stops by.

WSTM in Syracuse reports that Sir Paul McCartney visited a New England Motor Freight plant in East Syracuse Wednesday.

According to the station, workers were told to say "no comment" when asked about the visit, but that didn't stop them from posting pictures on social media sites.

Insiders tell WSTM that workers had lunch with McCartney, where they chatted about the recent Bruce Springsteen concert at Vernon Downs.

New England Motor Freight is owned by Myron Shevell, who is the father of McCartney's wife, Nancy Shevell.
