Eastbound lanes of the Bay Bridge to close Friday

Some lanes of the Bay Bridge will be closed this summer as the DOT replaces expansion joints on the bridge and that could slow down traffic.

The bridge will close at 8 p.m. Friday through sometime midday Sunday, September 9.

A posted detour will direct eastbound traffic via Empire Boulevard and Bay Road.
