A former Rochester church leader will likely spend a total of 14 years behind bars on charges of sexual abuse.
Joe Flowers was sentenced in Monroe County Court Friday for criminal sexual act.
This sentence covers two other cases, involving a teen and a young boy who Flowers admitted to sexually abusing on separate occasions. This all comes one day after he was sentenced on federal charges for taking one of the boys to Florida and sexually abusing him.
Flowers had already been serving a seven year sentence. He received another seven years in federal court Thursday and Friday’s sentence of one-and-a-third to four years will be served while he's serving the other sentences.
