Rochester Police officer taken to hospital after crash

nullA Rochester Police officer was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital Friday after police say she was involved in a crash.

The crash happened just after 8 p.m. on South Goodman Street near Harvard Street.

Rochester Police tell News10NBC the officer was responding to an emergency call when the crash happened. Her patrol car went up onto a sidewalk after the collision. Police say she was taken to the hospital, and as of late Friday night, she was undergoing precautionary tests.

Police say the driver of the other car involved was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way. No one in the other car was injured.
