Midday storms knock out power

nullThousands of customers are without power after storms moved through the area Saturday afternoon.

According to RG&E, more than 2,500 customers do not have power as of the early afternoon. Most of the outages were reported in Monroe County. Outages have also been reported in Wayne, Ontario and Livingston Counties.

RG&E says it expects power to be restored to most of those customers by mid to late afternoon.
