A 22-year-old Wheatland man is in guarded condition after Sheriff's Deputies say he fell from a moving car early Saturday morning.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says shortly after 3:00 a.m. they were called to Route 36 at North Road in Wheatland. Officials say a 25-year-old Le Roy man was driving home from Rochester with four male passengers. Investigators believe 22-year-old Orry Dowdell, who was sitting in the back seat on the passenger side, climbed out of the car and onto the roof while the car was moving. That's when Deputies say he fell off of the car and was seriously hurt.
Dowdell was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for what Deputies called life-threatening injuries.
