nullIf you have a passion for the outdoors and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, then the annual community lumberjack festival is the place to be.

Organizers are celebrating the 30th year for the festival this weekend. Despite yesterday’s weather, the crowds are still coming out to enjoy everything it has to offer.

There is something for everyone, from competitions like log rolling and chopping, to rock climbing and making crafts.

News10NBC is told you just have to see it, to believe it.

Tony Porpora says, “Right after I joined the department, I was like ‘aw lumberjack’… I kind of made fun of it but then once you get here and you see it, it’s really unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It’s a lot of fun, it’s great for families, and it’s great for everyone.”

The festival is held at the Macedon Center Fireman's Field on Canandaigua Road.
