Man accused of slamming puppy against wall to appear in court

The man accused of fatally harming a three-month-old puppy will face a judge Monday morning.
Keshawn John-Charles will be in Sweden Town Court on Monday morning. Police say 22-year-old John-Charles slammed his three-month-old pit bull puppy against a wall then tried to drown it in a bathtub.
John-Charles was charged with aggravated cruelty following the incident.
Police say it all started after the dog defecated on a blanket and that a witness intervened to stop the attack. Sadly, the dog suffered injuries so severe that it had to be euthanized.
