Brooks, Slaughter release tax returns for 2011

The two candidates running in the newly-formed 25th Congressional district released their 2011 tax returns Monday.

Incumbent Louise Slaughter and her husband Robert reported an adjusted gross income of more than $311,000 and paid more than $71,000 in taxes.

The figures were similar for County Executive Maggie Brooks and her husband Robert Wiesner, who had a combined income of nearly $319,000 and paid $68,000 in taxes.
