nullState Police say a Pavilion woman was drunk when she crashed her car with her young daughter inside.

The incident began after troopers responded to a report of a one vehicle roll over on Taylor Road in the Town of Covington. Upon arrival to the scene, police say they found a van that gone off the road and flipped over in a ditch. However police did not find anyone in the car but learned a woman and a small child had left the scene.

Troopers say they found the driver of the vehicle Angel A. Kruse, of Pavilion, and her 5-year-old daughter not far from the scene of the crash at a residence on Morrow Road. Neither Kruse nor her daughter had suffered any major injuries as a result of the crash. However both were taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

She was later arraigned before the Covington Town Justice on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law and moving from lane unsafely then remanded to Wyoming County Jail.

This is Kruse’s second arrest under Leandra’s Law in the last three months. The first arrest came in June when Kruse was arrested in Leroy.
