If your child has asthma, a new study could impact their treatment especially when it comes to their inhaler.
In some cases, doctors recommend patients use inhalers twice daily even if they don't have an attack. But in the study released Wednesday, researchers at the University of Texas found patients can manage their symptoms just as well when only using the inhaler when an attacks comes on.
The study found no significant difference in lung function, number of attacks or days missed from work or school.
Researchers also point out that daily doses of inhaled steroids may have long term effects on your health.
