Several local colleges make U.S. News and World Report’s list

Nazareth College and the Rochester Institute of Technology both made the cut for U.S. News and World Report’s list of best colleges.

Nazareth College is ranked 33rd in the Best Regional Universities - North Division and RIT earned seventh place for its masters programs. RIT also got high grades in the "Great Schools, Great Prices" category.

According to U.S. News, RIT offers the third best "Bang for Your Buck" for its master’s degrees.

The College at Brockport, Roberts Wesleyan, SUNY Geneseo, University of Rochester and St. John Fisher College also made the list.

The 2013 report hits newsstands on September 18.
