Four volunteers leave for South Africa

It's probably not the best time to head to Africa with all the turmoil going on but four local volunteers with Lifetime Care -- a hospice organization -- are on their way to South Africa.
News10NBC caught up with them at the airport Thursday morning.
The volunteers are headed to a South African hospice in Zululand to help patients with tuberculosis and HI/AIDS. They're bringing suitcases filled with medicine, vitamins and other supplies.
Volunteer Ruth Hogan says they have to pay their own way but in the end it's more than worth it. “It's a mission that is so dear to our hearts and we see the benefits every year and as long as the money is in the pocket, we'll keep doing it.”
This is the ninth year local volunteers have gone to the hospice.
