New Erie Canal residential project underway

A multi-million dollar project got underway in Brighton.

Developers held a groundbreaking ceremony on South Clinton Avenue Thursday afternoon.

The $180-million project will include 327 new homes and will feature development along the Erie Canal, including a new public seating area and room for boaters.

Construction on the new community called "The Reserve" will begin next year.
