A local man is building his own field of dreams. This summer, News10NBC introduced you to Rochester’s Johnny Perotti, who was a finalist for the Pepsi Max Field of Dreams Contest.
People could go online top vote to have the game a living legends baseball game played in Rochester. Perotti received more than 200,000 votes, beating out 23-year-old Stephen Katchmark from Philadelphia.
Perotti gets to invite baseball all-stars, like Ken Griffey Jr., Cal Ripkin Jr. and Reggie Jackson to play along with his family and friends in Rochester next summer. Perotti’s American League lineup will face Katchmark’s National League team.
There are still a lot of details to be worked like when and where the game will be played and exactly which all-stars will be here. News10NBC will keep you posted.
