School bus and tractor trailer crash in East Pembroke

A school bus and a tractor trailer were involved in a crash Monday, sending a child to the hospital.

It happened on Route 5 in East Pembroke. Sheriff’s Deputies on scene a school bus was stopped waiting to turn, when a semi-truck crashed into the back tipping the bus over.

One child on board the bus was taken to the hospital for precaution. The truck driver was ticketed for following too closely.
