The first Rochester Fringe Festival kicks off at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The five day long event includes a little bit of everything including high flying dance routines, gospel choirs, and comedy acts.
If you want to bring the kids to the Fringe Fest, there will be plenty of things to keep them entertained. You can find a full list of the festival's events here.
The Fringe Fest spans 21 downtown venues and most of the free activities happen at Manhattan Square Park or on Gibbs Street.
Starting on Thursday, those areas will be closed to traffic. Gibbs Street between East Avenue and East Main Street will close at 6 a.m. And Court Street between Chestnut Street and the new traffic circle will close at 10 a.m.
Both areas will re-open at 10 p.m. on Sunday.
